I’m no mathematician (so do go easy :)) but when thinking about body satisfaction (or body appreciation) think function instead feature.
So, appreciating how our body functions support us (or tries too) through life. It’s not always roses and happiness because sometimes our bod can get it wrong and make mistakes. But one thing is for sure, it works hard each day trying to maintain homeostasis and keep us well. Thanks body x. ⠀
PS. the reason focusing on body features as a measure for body satisfaction can get tricky is that our body is always changing and there may be times when we don’t always love all our features — and that’s okay.
